This 1968 crime drama written and directed by Charles Martin has been given new life with a beautiful new 2K scan from surviving 35mm film elements. The story of James Lake (Raymond St. Jacques, John Carpenter's THEY LIVE) who breaks out of prison to try and clear his name for raping and murdering a white woman, but gets into more problems when Kevin McCarthy (1956 INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS) tries to get him to murder his wealthy wife. Dana Wynter (also INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS). This early "blaxploitation" movie features popular African-American singer/entertainer Barbara McNair for risqué for it's time nude love scenes. The film features plenty of twists and is a lot of fun from start to finish.
