Harvey Keitel stars as Augustus “Auggie” Wren, a Brooklyn Cigar Store manager, in the hilarious independent comedy Smoke, plus its sequel Blue in the Face.

Smoke (1995) 

A smash hit success and instant cult classic when it was released in 1995, Smoke features an incredible ensemble cast of 90s megastars including William Hurt, Stockard Channing, Giancarlo Esposito, Ashley Judd, and Forest Whitaker.

The lives of various people intertwine when a Brooklyn cigar store manager befriends them, including his long-lost ex-girlfriend, a writer, a reluctant father, and a streetwise teen.

Directed by Wayne Wang, the critically acclaimed filmmaker behind The Joy Luck Club and Chinese Box, and written by award-winning novelist Paul Auster (The Music of Chance), this beloved comedy won Best First Screenplay at the 1996 Independent Spirit Awards.

Blue In The Face (1995) 

The popularity of cult comedy Smoke led to this instant sequel written and directed by Paul Auster and Wayne Wang, seeing Harvey Keitel return to his role as Augustus “Auggie” Wren, alongside iconic stars Michael J.
