College gymnast Danny Stetson (Michael O'Keefe) thought he knew what he wanted... until he fell hard for attractive student Rebecca (Karen Allen), who introduced him to the youth cult stewarded by the charismatic Kirklander (Peter Fonda). As he quickly and completely bought in, his desperate parents (Elizabeth Ashley, Brian Dennehy) turned to a relentless deprogrammer (James Woods) to intervene-and kidnap.
