Hollywood. 1955. The director of Strange and Dangerous encourages his novice lead actors to fall in love in "real life" so as to provide the "heat" needed for the film's romance. The actress' gangster boyfriend, who is also the film's financier, is kept in the dark about this scheme. When he learns the truth, he becomes violently angry. The suspense draws to a tingling close with a strange twist.
