Hapless deputies Dewey (Tim Conway, who scripted) and Wallace (Chuck McCann) get their chance to make good when the governor has them pose as convicts in order to learn where a notorious inmate (Hank Worden) stashed the cash from his final job. Unfortunately, the gov was the only other person in on the plan-and when he unexpectedly dies, they're stuck behind bars!
