In a remote forest, a few young people grow marijuana. The rather harmless drug, which is particularly popular in hippie circles, is of course a thorn in the side of the local administration and the FBI and is also absolutely illegal. That's why they decide to put an end to the criminal activity as quickly as possible by using special aircraft to distribute an untested pesticide over a large area over the intoxicating cultivated areas. The new “Dromax” is intended to bring an abrupt end to forbidden plants and their use. However, the completely unexpected consequences are absolutely devastating: all people who come into contact with the white chemical immediately transform into bloodthirsty monsters that attack and tear apart everything they come into their hands with. Now the security authorities are also faced with a puzzle and huge problems. Only a few people manage to stand in the way of the mutated figures, but soon the forest floor is soaked with blood. MUTIERT aka CRYING FIELDS is a charming horror independent shocker that, not without reason, also appeared in the controversial list of “Video Nasties” and became known as a small and mean cult film of the 80s.
